Scania gains new CEO

The board of directors of Scania has appointed Christian Levin as new CEO and president. He succeeds Henrik Henriksson, who is leaving Scania after 23 years and after more than five years as its CEO and president, and as Traton executive board member, to join a new venture, H2 Green Steel.

Levin will take up his position on 1 May 2021, and will remain member of the Traton SE executive board in addition to his new function. Levin joined Scania as a trainee in 1994 and began through this hire his career.

Bringing more than 20 years of experience working at Scania, Levin has “an in-depth knowledge of the Scania world, (and) he also experienced the group view when he steered global cooperation as (Traton Group’s) COO for the past two years,” says Gunnar Killian, board member for human resources and truck & bus at Volkswagen.
