Schneider cuts Mexico transit time

Schneider promotes transit times up to three days faster than industry average of seven days on its cross-border intermodal service through the CPKC rail network, positioning itself as the only single-line rail solution between Mexico and the United States, as the company reported.

According to the company the service achieves a 99.98% security rate, driven by rail connections and security-focused measures.

Schneiders long-term presence in Mexico is supported by bilingual teams and in-country operations. Recent CPKC investments, including a second rail bridge in Laredo, aim to expand capacity and security. According to Asociación Mexicana del Transporte Intermodal in 2024, Mexico’s intermodal market grew 17%, while Schneider’s volume rose at double that rate, as the company stated. (js)
