Scope 3 solution hits market
Carboninsets has launched a matchmaking service to help reduce scope 3 emissions in logistics and supply chains.
The independent platform links cargo owners and freight forwarders with verified 'environmental attribute certificates' (EACs) for all modes of transport and fuel types.
Backed by the '123Carbon registry' and 'Book and Claim' standards, Carboninsets aims to ensure traceable, multimodal decarbonisation. Maria Lacalle Muls (pictured), the firm's newly-appointed head of customer decarbonisation, said that the service "bridges the gap between ambition and impact."
Future phases will extend into hard-to-abate sectors like green steel, chemicals and hydrogen. (js)
