Second warehouse at Bournemouth Airport
Transport and logistics firm Shears has put its new transport facility into operation. The hub is located in Bournemouth Airport’s Aviation Business Park, just a few hundred metres from the company’s existing premises.
The 6,500 sqm warehouse, which has recently been fully refurbished, will handle palletised freight for the Pall-Ex network. The existing unit on Aviation Business Park will evolve into a dedicated warehousing and fulfilment facility.
Shears also welcomed Mark Houghton as new general manager in November 2021. Colin Hawkins, Pall-Ex Group’s director of owned operations, was instrumental in the acquisition of the new premises and Houghton’s appointment. (sh)
