Sennder acquires Uber Freight operations in Europe


Digital freight forwarder Sennder has acquired Uber's European freight business a part of a share transaction. The companies will combine their expertise to promote digital freight services in Europe, USA and Canada.

 

With this deal, Uber Freight will acquire a minority stake in Sennder and will trade under the name of Sennder in Europe.

 

Uber Freight’s European general manager, Tom Christenson, will be appointed Sennder's COO and Daniel Warner, currently head of shipper operations at Uber Freight, will support the Sennder team as senior vice president commercial.

 

The Uber Freight team, which is headquartered in Amsterdam, will transfer to Sennder once the transaction has closed. (mw)
