Several 100 pack stations to be opened

Germany’s largest housing provider Vonovia and Deutsche Post DHL are cooperating to set up DHL pack stations nationwide. Vonovia's postal customers and tenants will therefore soon be able to receive and send parcels and packages conveniently and around the clock. The first new pack stations have already been put into operation in Berlin-Tempelhof. More DHL pack stations will follow at Vonovia locations in Germany in the coming months.

Together, the two companies are planning to set up several hundred such stations where customers can frank their parcels and leave them to be picked up.

DHL currently already runs more than 11,500 pack stations in Germany. It was the first company to introduce this service to the German market in 2003 and has consistently developed it ever since. Some of these pack stations are powered by solar energy. (ben)
