Six round trips between Rotterdam and Herne

APM is expanding its Rotterdam Hinterland connections. Together with Rotterdam Rail Feeding (RRF), the terminal operator has launched a direct rail connection with the Container Terminal Herne near the German cities of Bochum and Gelsenkirchen.

The train initially connects the APM-II terminal at Maasvlakte and the Ruhr Area three times a week, and in the course of November the service will be extended to six times a week. Also in November, APM will be doubling its shuttle service from Rotterdam to Duisburg (Germany) from to six round trips per.

As of 1 November, the direct rail service between Maasvlakte 2 in Rotterdam and the Cabooter Terminal in Venlo will be increased to eight runs per week and will be stepped up later to 12 or 14 runs per week. (ben)
