Smilianets and Claussen honoured by Tiaca
Vitaly Smilianets (on the right), CEO of Awery, received the first-ever 'Inspirational Leader Award' at Tiaca’s executive summit 2025, which took place this week in Hong Kong.
Th award recognises his leadership and advocacy for digital transformation in airfreight. In parallel, Moritz Claussen (on the left), the co-CEO of Cargo.one, was presented with the inaugural 'Rising Star Award'. Tiaca praised his role in reshaping air cargo booking through scalable digital infrastructure.
Both awards were created to highlight young leadership and cross-generational empowerment in the sector. Smilianets was commended for his focus on inclusion, mentoring and innovation, while Claussen was recognised for building a global digital system and mobilising industry support. Tiaca director general Glyn Hughes described the winners as "driving measurable change through people-focused innovation". (ah)
