Stef Group makes progress in decarbonising its fleet

The Stef Group, with over 4,500 vehicles dedicated to the controlled temperature transport of food products, reports on its advancements in decarbonisation. By 2024, it aims to achieve a 25% reduction in CO2 emissions per t/km in France compared to 2019. Damien Chapotot, the deputy managing director of Stef Transport, emphasises the importance of balancing environmental ambition with operational performance, stating that each decarbonised vehicle represents a measurable advancement for clients.

Among the initiatives implemented, Stef is modernising its fleet with vehicles that meet Euro VI standards, significantly reducing NOx and fine particulate emissions. Additionally, 58% of the refrigeration units have been converted to electric, thereby decreasing emissions and noise. The deployment of the biofuel B100 and bio-CNG is also underway, allowing for substantial reductions in CO2 emissions, thus contributing to the CSR goals of its clients.
