Storskogen acquires logistics specialist Carry Gently

Storskogen has acquired an almost complete majority (93%) of the shares of the UK’s Carry Gently, a specialist in transporting high-value, fragile equipment.

Carry Gently, which generated sales worth approximately GBP 3.4 million in 2024, has 30 years of experience serving sectors such as medical technology and IT infrastructure. This is in line with Storskogen’s investment focus on digitalisation and health.

This latest acquisition by Storskogen complements that of Stop Start Transport in the UK, enabling collaboration and knowledge sharing in the country.

Interim UK head Chris Pullen said the deal strengthens Storskogen’s UK footprint and adds a profitable, resilient niche player. Operating from Aldershot and Manchester with 21 staff, Carry Gently serves clients in all of Europe. Director John Ross and the current management will remain on board.

The acquisition, completed on 8 August, will see the firm join Storskogen’s business services vertical and is expected to have a marginally positive impact on earnings and ebita margins.
