Strasbourg accelerates sustainability efforts
The port of Strasbourg has reviewed its 2024 performance and set out its plans for 2025, marking a year of transition with the adoption of its strategic plan for 2024-2028 and the creation of an advisory development council.
Despite economic uncertainty, overall traffic remained stable at 7.2 million t, supported by a 6% rise in railfreight volumes. Investments totalled EUR 10.5 million, with key projects including the expansion of the southern multimodal terminal and the modernisation of rail infrastructure.
In 2025 the port plans to invest EUR 15 million to enhance multimodal transport, advance decarbonisation and strengthen cross-border cooperation. (pb)
