Strategic feeder pact signed
The X-Press Feeders Group has signed two key agreements with Cosco Shipping Lines to improve feeder connectivity and service reliability.
Announced in Singapore last week, the cooperation includes a partnership for feeder services in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Latin America, as well as a vessel leasing deal. Under the latter, Cosco Shipping gains first option on chartering newbuild vessels from X-Press Feeders for joint service deployment.
Francis Goh, COO of X-Press Feeders, who signed the agreement with Irene Cheng Jin, deputy MD of Cosco Shipping Lines, said that the collaboration "reflects our shared commitment to building a more connected and sustainable shipping network."
The partnership targets enhanced mainline/feeder alignment and supports the industry’s shift toward lower emissions and resilient supply chains. (ah)
