Swiftair joins Barig air cargo community
The Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (Barig) has welcomed Swiftair as its newest cargo member. The Madrid-based airline, operating for more than 30 years, serves routes across Europe, North and West Africa, and provides wet-lease, charter and maintenance services. Its customer base includes global logistics firms and the United Nations.
"Airfreight is undergoing major transformation. We need flexible solutions to meet current challenges," said Michael Hoppe (left), Barig Chairman and Executive Director. Marcel Fleck, Swiftair’s Country Manager Germany, added that joining Barig offers "a strong platform for collaboration and further service development."
Founded in 1986, Swiftair operates a 43-aircraft fleet including ATR42/72s, Boeing 737s, 757s and A321s, offering tailored cargo solutions across Europe.
