Swiss transport group expands in Turkey
Interrail, a rail transport services provider headquartered in St Gallen (Switzerland), has opened an independent operating company in Turkey. The new company is registered under the name InterRail Uluslararası Nakliyat ve Lojistik Hizmetler T.A.S. and is based in Istanbul.
The company will be headed by managing director Enver Eser, an accomplished logistics expert. Eser spent 20 years in various executive positions at DHL.
With its new company, InterRail sees great potential to strengthen its trade lanes to and from China, CIS/Central Asia and Western Europe. In a further step, the company plans to develop the new InterRail location into a hub which shall also include transport services from North Africa to the above-mentioned destinations. (ben)
