Three for Logport III

Samskip, Duisport and TX Logistik have founded a JV - “Ziel Terminal” - to jointly operate the CT terminal at Logport III in Duisburg-Hohenbudberg (Germany). Samskip owns 49.8% of the shares, with Duisport and TX Logistik holding 25.1% each.

Duisport will lease the terminal to the JV on a long-term basis. Approval from the European competition authorities is still pending.

The 140,000 sqm terminal has seven transhipment tracks, each 720 m long, two shunting tracks and two gantry cranes for moving cargo between trucks and trains. The facility can handle up to 250,000 loading units per annum. (ben)
