Three investment groups interested in Trainose
French train operator SNCF, Romania's Grampet Group and the Greek building group GEK Terna in cooperation with Russian Railways RZD have expressed their interest in acquiring 100% of Greece's railway network operator Trainose. Trainose was established in 2005, initially as a subsidiary of OSE, for the purposes of providing railway passenger and freight transport services. Today, the company operates independently from the OSE Group. With over 300 daily itineraries, Trainose’s trains cover a railway network of more than 1,500 kilometres and carry 15 million passengers and 4.5 million t of freight annually. (ben)
