Three musketeers for one service
The three partners Sea Lead, OOCL and TS Lines are launching a new service covering India, UAE to East Africa. The ‘Idea’ weekly service will set out on 22 November with four vessels whose capacity was not announced.
While Sea Lead will deploy two vessels on the service, OOCL and TS Lines will contribute one each. Idea will call the ports of Nhava Sheva and Mundra in India, Jebel Ali and Khalifa in UAE, Mombasa in Kenya and Dar es Salam in Tanzania.
Sea Lead's managing director Henry Schmidl pointed out that the service will shorten transit times and respond to increasing demand, because “trade between India, UAE and East Africa has been growing strongly." (sh)
