Three new cargo routes to Budapest last month

Budapest Airport (BUD) welcomed three new scheduled cargo services in May2023. Joining BUD's connections to China, Wizz Air will operate scheduled flights deploying A330F aircraft of the Hungarian government and Universal Translink Airline.

Celebrating the expansion on 15 May (photo), Wizz Air’s operation will link Hungary to Huangzhou, a major economic and e-commerce hub located just 170 km from Shanghai.

On 19 May, the Hungarian capital city welcomed Longhao Airlines. The Chinese cargo carrier will operate between BUD and Zhengzhou using a B747F, bringing new capacities for this route, which has been operating since 2019.

Completing the advancements, Ethiopian Airlines launched a weekly charter service between BUD and Hong Kong, using its B777F aircraft, with a focus on general cargo and e-commerce commodities. (ah)
