Top gear to the future

The Serbian freight forwarder Transfera is doing well, despite the difficult current circumstances, and is expanding organisationally and geographically.

The Serbian logistics sector has been severely affected by the outbreak of Covid-19, and many companies there are still suffering. The situation there is thus no different than in many other countries too.

The Belgrade-based forwarder Transfera is nevertheless holding its own in these difficult circumstances. It is on course for financial 2020, even expecting to achieve the best result in its 17-year history. Continuous development is a central part of its corporate philosophy.

Reorganisation and regional expansion

This is why the logistician has now set up its new sales and business development department, which has been designed to serve as an access point for new customers, and which will develop individual logistics solutions. Srdjan Banovic has been installed as the new division’s head. He previously served as Transfera’s chief customer service officer.

He will be succeeded by Stefan Radivojevic, who was previously head of key account operations. Radivojevic has been working for Transfera since he launched his career, and has already been able to gain a lot of experience at his young age.

The logistics firm is not only growing organisationally but also geographically. In the third quarter, Transfera opened offices in Dobanovci and Loznica, thus expanding its network in Serbia to 18 locations.

With the branch in Dobanovci, near Belgrade airport, Transfera now serves every major customs office in and around the capital. Transfera has also expanded its presence in the west of Serbia through the Loznica office. The city is directly on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Milan Drljevic, Transfera’s customs manager, said that the firm expects “our Loznica office to make a significant contribution to regional expansion and to the development of our customs services.”
