Train service Scandinavia - China launched
Nurminen Logistics is the first in Europe to transport temperature-controlled foods by freight train from Scandinavia to China. "Earlier, it wasn't possible to transport temperature-controlled products by railway. But now, our new reefer containers which are suitable for trains will change the situation," interim CEO Olli Pohjanvirta said.
The first temperature-controlled food transportation from Scandinavia to China by Nurminen Logistics freight train will depart at the end of this week.
Nurminen Logistics operates this new service from Helsinki (Finland) and Narvik (Norway) to Hefei and Chongqing in China once a week. Transit time is 11 – 14 days. On route, the temperature can be adjusted between -25 and +25 degrees. (ben)
