TransFlex adding hybrid traction
The ÖBB Rail Cargo Group has added its third Eurodual hybrid locomotive from European Loc Pool for its 'TransFlex' fleet in Germany.
Unveiled at the Transport Logistic trade fair in Munich, the dual-mode Stadler loco enables transport on electrified and non-electrified routes. With 20 locomotives now in service, TransFlex offers ad-hoc and spot transport solutions for various sectors.
The additional Burghausen link and expansion into Austria mark further adjustments. In 2024, TransFlex covered 1.87 million km and moved 2.25 million t. (js)
