Turn in trade with China?
Statistics for 2020 show a clear shift in the trade flows between China, the USA and the EU. According to European Union statistics, EU states saw an increase in imports (+5.6%) and exports +2.2%) to and from China last year, despite the pandemic.
The United States Census, on the other hand, recorded a downward trend in the USA-China trade, with imports declining 14.7% and exports dropping 3.6%. Despite the lockdown in H1/2020, China's economy expanded by 2.3% last year, due a significant recovery in H2/2020. (cd)
