Two new direct trains for Sweden
Swedish rail freight operator Green Cargo is expanding its hinterland connections in Sweden. With two new domestic direct lines from Trelleborg and Gothenburg, the company is responding to the growing demand for eco-friendly intermodal services to transport goods that arrive at the ports by ship onward to the Mälaren region near Stockholm.
On the west coast, Green Cargo now connects the port of Gothenburg with Rosersberg in the north of Stockholm via the APM and Arken terminals.
From the port of Trelleborg, a new train runs via Nässjö to Arsta in the southern part of Stockholm. The new trains transport trailers, containers, tank containers and swap bodies. (ben)
