Two Russian hauliers link up

Globaltruck, a Russian FTL-trucking company, has signed a long-term contract with GTD, a logistic firm also based in Russia. The contract implies that Globaltruck’s fleet will serve GTD’s main trunk delivery routes for the next three years.

The agreement defines a tariff policy, focusing, among other things, on macroeconomic indicators like inflation and the retail price of fuel. The agreement also involves the development of the route network.

At the same time, the main trunk transportation will be carried out based on the “express” service, which allows the loaded semi-trailer to be driven up to 20 hours per day and increases the delivery speed by 30-40% compared to ordinary FTL-transportation. (ben)
