TX Logistik to extend its intermodal fleet
The rail logistics company, which is part of Mercitalia, has ordered another 115 double pocket wagons of the T3000 model for its intermodal services. The first wagons are scheduled do be delivered in late summer this year.
Produced by the Slovakian manufacturer Tatravagonka, the pocket wagons have a 30-foot container suspension, fast-acting brakes, and thermostable wheelsets of the latest generation.
With the T3000, both semi-trailers and containers can be flexibly transported at a maximum speed of up to 120 km per hour. In addition, the model is particularly well adapted to the TX transhipment system Nikrasa, which enables to load non-craneable semi-trailers onto the rail. (ben)
