Unilode Aviation Solutions opens MRO facility
Unilode Aviation Solutions has officially inaugurated its new 2,500 sqm maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) facility at Stud Brook Business Park in Castle Donnington, UK. This state-of-the-art facility marks a significant investment in Unilode's regional and global operations, supporting the world's largest digitised ULD fleet and serving over 90 airlines across more than 550 airports.
Located near East Midlands airport, the MRO enhances Unilode's service capabilities for major operators, including DHL and Singapore Airlines. Janis Balkens, COO of Unilode, emphasised the facility's design to meet increasing customer demand and improve service quality while committing to sustainable growth through renewable energy and Breeam certification. The opening of this MRO is part of Unilode's broader global investment programme, which includes new facilities in Hong Kong and Singapore and refurbishments in Newark and London Heathrow, ensuring responsiveness to the needs of airline and cargo operators worldwide.
