Universal Logistics appoints new CEO

The board of directors at Universal Logistics Holdings has appointed Tim Phillips as the company’s new CEO, president, and member of the board. He has over 30 years of experience in numerous leadership positions. Most recently, he was the company’s executive vice president of transportation.

Phillips has also served as the president of Universal’s intermodal division since 2009. Phillips succeeds Jeff Rogers, who resigned from the company as CEO, president and director.

"I am honoured to have been appointed to lead Universal’s 12,000 associates and drivers across North America,” Phillips said. “I would like to thank the board of directors for its confidence in me. I intend to continue transforming the company into a world-class provider of transportation and logistics services.” (mw)
