USA's Ingram Marine Group names inland barges


The Ingram Barge Co, headquartered in Nashville TN (USA) and a part of the Ingram Marine Group, recently named two inland barges in honour of long-term associates, both of whom are members of the firm's senior leadership team.

 


The MV 'Chuck A. J. Arnold' is named after Ingram's chief commercial officer who over the years has taken on leadership roles in the liquid and dry sales fields and for custom fuel services. He now leads the combined efforts of the inland waterway line's commercial team.

 


The MV 'John D. Roberts', in turn, has been named after the chief executive officer, who has already spent his career dedicated to the marine industry. He worked in various capacitiesin the fields of operations, sales, logistics, fuel sales and consulting. He is passionate about developing the future leaders of the maritime industry and serves as a mentor to many aspiring youngsters.

 

The Ingram Marine Group has been a transporter on the USA's inland waterways since 1946 and says that today it is the largest dry cargo carrier and one of the top chemical carriers in the country.
