UWL and ESL team up on Sun Chief Express
UWL, a US NVOCC, has named Emirates Shipping Line (ESL) as the vessel partner for its Sun Chief Express service, shuttling between Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) and Seattle WA (USA).
The move creates increased cargo capacities and supports UWL’s aim of offering weekly sailings, with transit times as short as 19 days.
Recruiting ESL as the vessel operator marks a strategic move to enhance reliability and long-term growth, according to UWL President Duncan Wright, who added that the new partnership is in line with the service’s values of transparency and customer care.
The collaboration also supports ESL’s North American expansion, while reinforcing Sun Chief’s role as a premium trans-Pacific service.
UWL, a division of the World Group, provides global 3PL services and offers ocean and air forwarding, warehousing and distribution, customs house brokerage and project cargo solutions.
