Vado Express to start soon
Maersk is launching a new service between Port Said at the Suez Canal and Vado Gateway at the Port of Genoa. The first feeder of this new service (3,000 teu) will depart from Port Said on 8 July and arrive at the Vado Ligure Terminal on 14 July.
For cargo arriving from China, transit times can be significantly reduced, depending on the original point of departure.
Maersk decided to link up Northern Italy with Egypt because it is the second most important location for industrial production in the EU and the third for goods exports, as Leah Offutt, Maersk Central South Europe managing director, explained. (sh)
