Virgin Atlantic Cargo approves new tracking device
Virgin Atlantic Cargo is the first British airline to accept the new "Sentry FlightSafe" tracking device on its aircraft, enabling customers moving vulnerable and valuable shipments to monitor the location and environmental conditions of their cargo on the ground and in the air in real-time. The device has been developed by OnAsset Intelligence Inc, one of the market leaders in machine-to-machine airborne asset tracking solutions.
With its real-time capabilities at all points along the supply-chain, "Sentry FlightSafe" provides stakeholders with critical data that enables them to intervene to reduce or eliminate loss related to the integrity of the cargo. A highly-advanced wireless tracking device, the new device includes multiple sensors for monitoring temperature, humidity, pressure, shock, location and vibration. An additional feature - FlightSafe - for controlling wireless transmitting radios is also available.
