WestJet Cargo adds daily link to Japan
WestJet Cargo has launched daily year-round cargo services between Calgary and Tokyo Narita, operated with Boeing B787 Dreamliners.
Each flight offers 22 t and 80 cbm of cargo space, expanding trans-Pacific capacity and enabling faster movement of high-value and time-sensitive goods. The new route supports exports of perishables, seafood and general freight from Canada, while boosting imports of Japanese automotive, tech and manufacturing goods.
Bookings are available via Cargo.one, CargoAi and WebCargo. The route complements WestJet’s passenger flights and a codeshare with Japan Airlines, offering onward connections to Osaka and Nagoya and positioning Calgary as a key logistics hub for Asia-bound cargo. (ah)
