WestJet Cargo and Sales teams join forces
Amanda Ierfino has been appointed vice-president, sales and cargo at WestJet, effective 1 June 2025. The move combines two key business areas under one leadership for the first time and signals a strategic shift towards greater integration and commercial focus of the Canadian carrier.
Ierfino has played a major role in shaping WestJet’s corporate and agency sales strategy and now also takes charge of cargo operations as the airline prepares to phase out its dedicated freighter fleet later this year. Going forward, WestJet Cargo will concentrate on maximising bellyhold capacity across the airline’s narrowbody and widebody network.
"Both our sales and cargo teams are united by a strong commitment to supporting our partners. I’m excited to lead this next chapter with an emphasis on partnership, new opportunities and shared growth," Ierfino stated. The realignment reinforces WestJet’s ambition to streamline B2B offerings and boost efficiency. (ah)
