WFS expands e-commerce handling in Frankfurt
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a Sats company, has signed a long-term lease for two warehouses at Frankfurt Airport, expanding its specialised E-commerce & Freight Forwarder Handling (EFFH) services from January 2026. "Frankfurt is a focal point for global forwarders and major e-commerce shippers," said Marc Claesen, SVP Northern Europe & Africa at WFS. "Our EFFH services offer faster throughput and fewer touchpoints."
Located on a 24,000 sqm site in Cargo City South, the new facilities will feature ULD systems and volume scanners, enabling WFS to handle up to 100,000 t of freight annually.
WFS already operates EFFH sites in Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris CDG, and other European airports. (ah)
