Wind project finished in Portugal

The Laso Transportes Group has finished all transports for its Alto da Croa wind farm project. After twelve months of work, the contractor Greenalia has completed the construction of the Alto da Croa (Vimianzo), Monte Tourado (Vimianzo) and Croa II (Vimianzo and Dumbría) wind farms, which altogether add up to a total of 28 MW.

Laso Transportes is a major player in this sector and involved in a large number of wind-power projects in the Iberian Peninsula. The company carried out more than 80 transports over the last five weeks. Amongst others, it transported the largest wind turbine ever made in Portugal. It is about 180 m high when the blade is at its highest rolling point. (sh)
