
WinGD adds lifecycle engine services
At this week's Nor-Shipping trade fair in Oslo, Swiss engine designer WinGD launched 'Global Service by WinGD', a full lifecycle support offer for operators of its two-stroke engines.
Building on its in-warranty services, the new programme includes worldwide access to spare parts, field service and expert technical support. It aims to maximise engine efficiency and vessel uptime, addressing customer needs from energy transition to digitalisation.
Piloted with key customers, the service is backed by teams in Europe and Asia and logistics hubs worldwide. CEO Dominik Schneiter emphasised that WinGD’s engine know-how positions it as a reliable long-term partner. The global service is now available to all operators of WinGD-designed engines. (ah)
