Winsped dangerous goods centre: more data

LIS (Logistische Informationssysteme) has further extended the Winsped module dangerous goods centre (GGC): effective immediately, the application also displays the transport status defined in the “European agreement concerning the international carriage of goods by road” and the classification of the hazard potential of the goods to be transported.

The module will be updated automatically as part of the regular maintenance service, at no additional cost for LIS customers. “The transport of dangerous goods requires special care and knowledge of current regulations and classifications. Winsped’s dangerous goods centre assists freight forwarders to keep track of everything and apply all the necessary rules,” says Thomas Meyer, product expert at LIS.

The extension also helps users to find out whether and under which conditions current regulations classify a certain substance as a dangerous good – and whether it may be transported in general. (mw)
