World's biggest cargo carrier spans new network

New data from the International Air Transport Association (Iata) reaffirms that Qatar Airways Cargo continues to lead the air cargo business with more than 900 million cargo tonne kilometres (ctk) during April, accounting for 7.2% of the global cargo market and ensuring much needed airfreight capacity to support global trade and the transportation of essential medical and aid supplies to impacted regions.

Meanwhile, the national carrier of the state of Qatar has increased flights to Dublin, Milan and Rome, with daily services starting from 13 June 2020.

The resumption of regular services to Venice, another popular tourist destination and major arts and cultural centre, but also the capital of one of the wealthiest Italian regions, is scheduled to take place in exactly one month's time, on 15 July. (ah)
