Zim connects Asia with East Med
Zim Integrated Shipping Services has expanded its ZMP service, which connects Asia with the East Mediterranean, to include a new stop at Cai Mep Port in Vietnam.
This addition positions Zim as the sole major carrier offering a direct connection from Vietnam to the East Mediterranean. The updated route now covers Pusan, Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai, Da Chan Bay, Cai Mep, Colombo, Haifa, Ashdod, Mersin, Derince, Istanbul, and back through Da Chan Bay, Xiamen, and Pusan.
Zim also highlighted its commitment to safety amidst threats to global trade in the Arabian and Red Sea, adopting measures that may extend transit times to ensure the security of crew, vessels, and cargo. (pb)
