Growth in the Middle East and the CIS

Kita Logistics, the logistics company, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. It offers services in the areas of airfreight, seafreight, overland and multimodal transport. In particular, it has sufficiently large warehousing premises. Recently it spread its wings towards the Middle East and the CIS countries. Emre Eldener, the enterprise’s CEO, reports on the company’s progress.


Kita Logistics is an international logistics and freight forwarding company, whose offices are located predominantly in Turkey, but also in northern Iraq and Saudi Arabia. It has recently taken a look back on its 20 years of existence.

 

 

This occasion was duly celebrated in Izmir, the city where the company was established in 1995. Representatives of shipping lines and other important customers gathered for the celebration and used the opportunity to network.

 

The 2014 financial year was satisfactory

Kita Logistics has its head office in Istanbul and employs a workforce of 250 members of staff operating out of eight different locations who deal with the activities of the various business areas. «This makes us one of the most capable logistics companies in our country,» said Kita’s CEO, Emre Eldener, explaining his conviction of the company’s good setup as he looked back on the developments of the previous year. Volumes of approximately 10,000 t were moved by airfreight, 17,500 teu by maritime transport and 400,000 t in the business field of project logistics.

 

Two new offices in Riyadh and Jeddah

«We are concentrating on the regional growth in the Middle East and the CIS states. A particular highlight was the recent opening of our new branch in Saudi Arabia. We now have two offices there, one in Jeddah and one Riyadh.» Eldener confirmed the firm intention of Kita Logistics to continue with its investments and expansion. This is only possible thanks to the well-trained staff and also its healthy financial situation, he said.
