Collaboration across the boundaries of each individual mode of transport and looking beyond the horizon are amongst the orders of the day today. The representatives of Nunner Logistics and of the Port de Sète, with whom we conducted interviews for this issue, are both good examples thereof.

The Swiss Shippers’ Council also thinks in networks. Its air and sea freight seminar, run as separate entities so far, have now become one. Thus the SSC’s Swiss Shippers’ Forum is set to take place in Interlaken. The key subject of ‘force majeure‘ and its impact is set to be discussed at the foot of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains on 29 and 30 January. The ITJ’s editor-in-chief Christian Doepgen will moderate the event, which gathers speakers and experts from every field of the transport and logistics world. The new interdisciplinary approach promises to make the Forum’s premiere a success. The impressive mountain scenery will contribute the rest.
