21-22/2013 Against the tide
Haven’t you heard this saying until it’s coming out of your ears? «You can’t fight the tide» is an oft-heard philosophy whose utterance is usually accompanied by a helpless shrug of the shoulders. I’m just happy that there are so many examples that contradict it.
At the end of the 1990s many observers had written off a firm that was making high losses at the time – Apple. Nobody remembers that today. When Real Madrid added Beckham to its team of Galácticos – with Zidane, Ronaldo, Raúl, Roberto Carlos and Figo, amongst others – in 2003, it seemed the end of everyone else’s ability to compete with them. And yet, all those big names only won a single (minor) trophy until 2006. Today, transport logistic in Munich is the international trade fair in the transport and logistics industry.
Yet in 2013 you will seek the name DHL in vain on the list of exhibitors. A new trend?
