After our celebratory July we’ve probably all returned to a rather more mundane August. We would nevertheless like to take this opportunity to look back briefly and thank all of you for the many kind words of support and encouragement that you shared with us on the occasion of our 75th anniversary. We’ll be more than happy to continue to deliver a little (magenta) colour to your desk every fortnight!
The recent World Cup was another cause for celebration – at least at our latitudes. But our special focus in this issue just happens to be on those countries where fans lamented most about the tournament’s final result. You can read about the dormant potential in the Mercosur common market, as well as about China’s role – the country is everywhere these days – in waking this sleeping giant (page 22). On page 24 we look at UPS’s plans for further development in South America, and on page 25 this latest issue of the ITJ you can also find out what’s eating the aviation industry.
Enjoy your read!
